This section was designed to answer some of the frequently asked questions concerning small ship cruising with M.V. Chippewa III. Just click on one of the questions below to find an answer. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards (VISA, MasterCard), Interact Debit, and cash. We use a mobile point of sale system, so digital receipts are emailed or texted to you.

How do I make a reservation?

Reservations can be made by phoning our ticket booth (705) 746-6064 or 1-888-283-5870, email info@mvchippewa.com, or texting (705) 746-6064.

Are reservations required for the M.V. Chippewa III Cruise?

Reservations are required to ensure our numbers of passengers (minimum and maximum passenger count).

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance for a full refund (this does not apply to private charter bookings).

Do you cruise rain or shine?

We do cruise rain or shine, however, we will not cruise if it is unsafe to do so.

Are you wheelchair accessible?

The ship is wheelchair accessible, however, the bathrooms are not. Both island restaurants have steps from the ship down to the dock, and somewhat rugged terrain (beach and/or sloped path) to the restaurant.

Is smoking permitted?

Smoking is not permitted on the ship.

Is your boat licensed?

Yes, we have a bar on board that has a selection of non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a selection of beer, coolers, wines and mixed drinks.

Do you have menu substitutions?

Yes, the caterer is wonderful about dealing with allergies and preferences. Please call to discuss this.

Is there pre-assigned seating?

Yes, on some of the cruises there is pre-assigned seating, and we assign the tables according to date of booking and best fit. First to book get the tables towards the stern.

Can the ship be used for a private function?

Yes, the ship can be chartered privately for exclusive use of the ship; anniversaries, birthdays, family reunions, office parties, showers, girlfriend get-togethers, rehearsal dinners, weddings, etc. Please call or email to further discuss this.

Can I bring my own food?

You can bring your own food but it must be pre-arranged when you make your reservation. Passengers who bring their own food to one of the island restaurants must remain on the ship and will not have access to the restaurant or the grounds.

Is there free parking available close to the ship?

Yes, there is free parking available close to the ship. Please consult our map to see where you can and cannot park.
